In a surprising crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

This patch also introduces the game's newest free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
